Unrealistic expectations always lead to disappointment
The Messiah would be born of a virgin.
The Messiah would come according to a timetable.
The Messiah would come riding on a donkey
The Messiah would be born in Bethlehem.
The Messiah would be a descendant of David.
The Messiah would be preceded by a messenger.
When God moves, His people get desperate.
Spiritual Reality: God in His sovereignty has chosen to limit His activity to the prayers of His people.
