Acts 3:1-9
1 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; 3 who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. 4 And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, "Look at us." 5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.
6 Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them--walking, leaping, and praising God. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God.
Peter lifted him up strength came into his feet.

Peter goes on to rebuke the religious folks and preach the Word with Fire.

Spiritual Boldness

Acts 4:1-14
1 Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, 2 being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. 3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. 4 However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.
5 And it came to pass, on the next day, that their rulers, elders, and scribes, 6 as well as Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the family of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem. 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, "By what power or by what name have you done this?" 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: 9 "If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 "let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 "This is the 'stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.' 12 "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. 14 And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

Spiritual Boldness Is Behavior Born Out Of Belief.

It’s time for the body of Christ to get bold.

Don’t just sit there, get mad at the devil.

You don’t have to put up with one more second of the Devils harassment.

The Lord Jesus has already defeated him at Calvary’s Cross.

It’s time for the body of Christ to trample on the Devils head.

It’s time to get bold and raise up with Holy indignation and take back all the enemy has stolen from us.

It's time like never before to rise up as members of the Militant Army of God.

We need to take a stand against the enemy and his attacks against us and our families.

We, as the Body of Christ, do not have to be pushed around, oppressed, harassed, or intimidated by the devil any longer.

I believe one the biggest reasons we are not seeing the same supernatural signs and wonders that we see recorded in the book of Acts is a lack of Spiritual Boldness.

We lack bold FAITH and bold ACTIONS.

Boldness Is Behavior Born Out Of Belief.

What you believe will determine how you behave.

If you believe you are going to be criticized you will act tentative.

If you believe your going to fail you venture out cautiously.

If you believe God is calling you and Empowering you. If you believe God is leading you. You will venture out with boldness.

If you believe God is equipping you, then you will live boldly and signs and wonders will follow.

Mark 16:17-20
17 "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." 19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

The greek word for Boldness is : parrhesia (par-rhay-see'ah) ;outspokenness, assurance, courage, confidence; to act without fear.

Peter's life was filled with bold intentions and not always bold actions.

Mathew 26:27-35
27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. 28 "For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 "But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom." 30 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. 31 Then Jesus said to them, "All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: 'I will strike the Shepherd, And the sheep of the flock will be scattered.' 32 "But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee." 33 Peter answered and said to Him, "Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble." 34 Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times." 35 Peter said to Him, "Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!" And so said all the disciples. Though all deny you I will never deny you.

Before the day ended he denied Christ 3 times.

Bold intentions followed by timid actions.

But something happened in Peter when he had a encounter after the resurrection.

John 21:15-17
15 So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs."
16 He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Tend My sheep." 17 He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep.

Jesus said feed my lambs, tend my sheep, feed my sheep.

From that point on something happened in Peter.

The next message he preached is recorded in Acts 2:14-41

Peter said repent from a perverse generation and be baptized.

He told the people to turn from their sin.

It was because of Spiritual Boldness that 3 thousand people were added to the Church.

My prayer is that the same thing will happen to all of us.

That we will have a fresh encounter with Jesus and be filled with the Holy Spirit and have the same transition in our lives.

We all have bold intentions!
We all want to see great things!
We all want signs and wonders!

What we need is for our bold intentions to become bold actions.

We need to be bold enough to not only turn from sin but have the boldness to tell others to turn from their sin.

Romans 8:5-11
5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Boldness must be birthed out of a belief that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead in you.

In these last days we need boldness.

We need Spiritual Boldness born out of our belief.

Acts 4:7-13
7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, "By what power or by what name have you done this?" 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: 9 "If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 "let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.

It’s not a belief in how much you know.
It’s belief in who you know!

GOD GIVES ORDINARY PEOPLE EXTRAORDINARY BOLDNESS.

My prayer that God would take a group of ordinary Christians like us and give us
supernatural boldness.

To live with confidence.
To live with outspokenness.
To live with courage.
To live without fear.

The key to Spiritual Boldness is not what you know.

The key to Spiritual Boldness is who you know.

God often uses uneducated and untrained people.

Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.

YOUR BOLDNESS WILL AMAZE THE WORLD.

SPIRITUAL BOLDNESS COMES FROM KNOWING CHRIST

BOLDNESS ISN'T THE GOAL.
KNOWING JESUS IS THE GOAL.

This is the cycle to remember:

If you spend more time with Jesus it will produce faith.
Faith produces boldness.
Boldness produces results.
Results leads to more time with Jesus.

It works in the opposite too:

If you spend less time with Jesus it produces weak Faith.
Weak Faith produces a lack of boldness.
A lack of boldness will produce less results.
If you have less results it will produce a lack of time with Jesus.

Acts 4:19-20
19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. 20 "For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard."

We cannot stop telling everything we have seen and heard.

Time with Jesus leads to boldness that produces spiritual results.

Jude 1:3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

The best way I know to earnestly contend for FAITH is to be determined to live with boldness.
