Welcome to Agincourt Church this morning! We're so glad you have joined us today.

This is week 3 of our 5 week series, "Conversations About The Holy Spirit". Today's teaching, "The Spirit As Communicator", is by Pastor Keith Smith, Lead Pastor.

See below for a short article from Pastor Jonathan, teaching notes and announcements.
Welcome to a series that is going to encourage you to be talking about the person of the Holy Spirit. There are so many mysterious aspects, questions and often misrepresentations of who the Holy Spirit is and what the Holy Spirit does, in and through us, as we follow Jesus.

During our weekend gatherings and in our Community Groups, Pastor Keith Smith, Dr. Van Johnson and I will be inviting you into a conversation about the gifts of the Spirit, the baptism of the Spirit, the leading of the Spirit and an invitation to experience every life-giving aspect of the Spirit’s work and presence.

So join us with your questions, apprehensions and expectation as we embark on a conversation about the Holy Spirit!

1. DESCRIBING SOMETHING TOO AWESOME FOR WORDS
“I will ask the Father and He will give you another Counselor… the Spirit”

~ John 14:16
“Do not leave Jerusalem but wait for the gift my Father promised…..in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit…..You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses….”

~ Acts 1:4,5,8
“They all joined together constantly in prayer…”

~ Acts 1:14a
"All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them."

~ Acts 2:4
“We hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own languages”

~ Acts 2:11b
"For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God."

~ Acts 10:46
“Anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God”

~ 1 Corinthians 14:2a
2. ARTICULATING CONFUSION TOO INEXPRESSIBLE FOR WORDS
"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God."

~ Romans 8:26-27
“Anyone who speaks in a tongue strengthens themselves”

~ 1Corinthians 14:4a
3. COMMUNICATING SPIRITUAL REALITY TOO SUPER-NATURAL FOR WORDS
"Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

~ Acts 2:38-39
