Wk 3 – “Who Do You Think You Are Talking To?” – 40 Days of Prayer

The 40 Days of Prayer Spiritual Growth Campaign as Created and Designed by Pastor Rick Warren and his staff at Saddleback Church is to help individuals and church families grow in the area of their prayer life. One man of God said some years ago, “It seems that God has chosen to do very little outside of the prayers of His people”. This certainly doesn’t mean He is limited at all by what we pray, but that He has chosen for us to be commissioned and to be co-laborers with His Holy Spirit in the advancing of the Kingdom of God. Over these next several weeks, beginning Sunday January 14th, we will be taking a journey together in discovering or even rediscovering the place and power of prayer in our lives as followers of Jesus. In any healthy relationship, communication is essential, and this is certainly true of our relationship to God. You are invited to join us on this journey. We are convinced that this 40-Day focus on prayer will set the stage for the year of 2018 and perhaps change the course of many of our lives for the good! Church Cleaning Volunteers Needed - Every week 2 people volunteer to clean the church building. It generally takes 1.5 - 2 hrs. Each week all the rest of us enjoy clean floors and bathrooms. The only issue we have is that very few people are carrying the load. What we would like is for each family to consider signing up to clean, even if its only for 3 - 4 times a year. We are better together!

40 Days of Prayer – Week 3

BECAUSE GOD IS ALWAYS GOOD …

1. GOD’S PLANS FOR MY LIFE WILL ALWAYS BE GOOD

“‘I know what I’ve planned for you,’ says the Lord. ‘I have GOOD plans for you, not plans to hurt you! My plans will give you HOPE and a GOOD future. And when you call to me and pray to me, I will listen to you!”

“We know that God causes everything to work together for THE GOOD of those who love God and are called according to his purpose.”

2. GOD ALWAYS GIVES ME WHAT I NEED, NOT WHAT I DESERVE

3. GOD PUTS MY GOOD ABOVE HIS GOOD

4. HE DOES NOT SAY YES TO EVERY REQUEST

So if you, as sinful people, know how to give GOOD gifts to your children, how much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

5. HE INVITES US TO LIVE WITH HIM FOREVER
