This week we will be looking at when and where life with God begins. When do we enter the Kingdom of God? Where does it manifest itself? Is the Kingdom of God something we wait for, or is it in the here and now? Is it something we can see, hear, or feel? Or is it a state of mind? Can we experience it during this mortal life or do we have to wait until we get to heaven? What IS the Kingdom of God? I think it's safe to say that if you have been paying any attention over the last few weeks you will already know the answers to these questions. Scripture is pretty clear in describing the Kingdom of God as something that is in the here and now. Life with God begins the moment you want it to. Perhaps even a little before that even. The real question is do we function that way? We will be looking at some of the scriptures Casey used in his sermon to describe the Kingdom of God. Jesus always referred to the Kingdom as something that has come upon us. It is something that is here now, that you can be a part of, participate in, and function in as part of this life not just the next. When we talk about personal relationships with Jesus, and or God, the Kingdom is at the heart of the matter. Having a relationship with God is doing life with Him, doing life with Him is living in the kingdom, these concepts are inseparable. You don't have to wait until you die to experience the Kingdom of God, you have full access the moment you come to saving faith in Jesus. The Lord is with you, now, He will never leave you nor forsake you. Many of us function as if we are waiting for the end so that we can begin living. This is a false narrative, He came so that you may have life and have it more abundantly, not just in the times to come but NOW. Are you taking full advantage of this fact? Do you function as if the Kingdom of God has come upon you? Would you like too? I know I want too! This week as we study and pray let's try to be mindful of the fact that the Kingdom of God is upon us! God is with us right now, and He always will be. God loves you, build your life around Him, you won't be sorry!
