1. Jesus showed compassion on the crowd, even in the midst of his grief. In what ways have you experienced God's compassion? In what ways have you shown compassion to others?
2. Jesus provided for the multitude to be fed, but he did so using what the disciples had. How have you experienced God multiplying what you have for His kingdom purposes? What might God be calling you to bring before Him to multiply for His ministry?
3. Without Jesus miracle, the disciples would not have been able to feed the multitude; and yet Jesus chose to work through his disciples in performing this miracle. How have you experienced God partnering with you for His kingdom purposes? How might God be calling you to partner with Him in ministry in the coming year?
4. Jesus performed this miracle as a sign that points to Him and who He is. What does this sign tell you about who Jesus is? In what ways might this sign strengthen your faith in or relationship with Jesus?
5. How are you living as a sign post for God? Share your example with Pastor Dave. If you give him permission, he may use it as a future sermon illustration.
