Moving toward tomorrow is not easy for any of us. It has a price. You and I can dream of it, talk about it and believe for it. But, there comes a point when we have to decide if we are willing to participate in a miracle – to possess the promise.
POSSESSING TOMORROW IS NOT FOR THE PASSIVE
POSSESSING TOMORROW ALWAYS INVOLVES RISK
The first step does not create the miracle. It merely expresses our intent to trust God to do what He has promised!
FAITH IS NOT ALWAYS HAVING A FEELING OF CERTAINTY
We sometimes are so full of knowledge we can’t move. We need to take a step of faith and make that knowledge experiential so someone else will benefit.
POSSESSING TOMORROW IS RARELY ALL ABOUT YOU
Stepping in is not about some great thing you will do for God. In fact, by yourself you can do nothing of lasting value. It is about experiencing what God longs to do in you and through you by His power and grace.
It’s not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena…who, at best, knows in the end the triumph of great achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly. So that his place will never be with those cold timid souls who know neither victory or defeat.
