The BIG GIVE
THE BIG GIVE is one of the ways that SCBC desires to “Be a Blessing to All Peoples”. For a number of years during Christmas, we as a church have chosen to share God’s blessings on us with others.
This Christmas you’re invited to be part of THE BIG GIVE as we partner with three ministries to focus on “freedom”. Jesus declared in Luke 4:18-19. Through your generous financial gift, we will help….
* Lahu Village to build a church in Myanmar (freedom to worship)
* Rahab Ministries to restore lives of children and women caught in the sex trade (freedom from bondage)
* Village Eulogia to assist families with children with special needs (freedom to learn and grow)
Let’s continue to do Christmas differently this year by being a part of THE BIG GIVE. You can use the marked envelopes available in the pews or give online through PayPal.
Worship fully, spend less, give more, love all. See how your giving can help…

Praise and Thanksgiving
Heavenly Father! In this Christmas, we again give thanks to You, for the birth of Jesus Christ our Savior, He came to save us sinners. We not only have eternal life, but are also called Children of God, receiving blessings and without fear for the hardship of life.
God’s Church
Pray for Dec 23 Joint Christmas Musical Service “Arrest These Merry Gentlemen” and Dec 24 Christmas Sunday Services. May God bless all children, brothers & sisters taking parts in the services, grant them joyful hearts as they sing praises to Him. We ask the Holy Spirit to prepare our hearts so everyone will be worshiping in spirit and truth, offering praises to Jesus Christ who came to earth to save us.
Global Need
Pray for the work of International Justice Mission (IJM). IJM is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. Pray that God use them to help individuals who are suffering from eitherslavery, sexual exploitation and violent oppression. Pray that God would give us a heart for justice in our world and help us consider how we can partner for justice locally and globally.
Mission Prayer
Pray for Timothy Pablo, seminary student we support, who is studying at Moody Bible Institute. Pray for his exams before Christmas. Pray for his growth in the Lord and his wrestling in his brokenness. Ask God’s healing to comfort him and keep his dependence on the Lord. Pray for his study abroad in Israel during the first 4 months of next semester.
