Be Still: "Unnecessary Roughness"

Let’s face it, Christmas can be chaotic! The season of the year dubbed as the “most wonderful time of the year,” for many, can be a stressful season of pressure and unmet expectations. There is a holiday current that can pull us under if we are just going with the flow. How can we stay steady ourselves through the waves of demands, comparison, and uncertainty that hit us? What we need isn’t to unplug the lights and music but to plug into a stillness of what Christ offers. Our December series is called, “Be Still.” And in this series, we want to see that the Christmas season offers us the stillness of the soul we need. It’s stilling ourselves to get a chance to refocus, to be restored, to reconnect to Jesus.
