How do we understand difficult text in the Bible?
1) By understanding there are levels of theological certainty
2) By understanding its intent is to give the Christian's hope
3) By understanding it’s all about Jesus

God’s word is perfect but no one can interpret it perfectly.

God can and does use foreign governments, wars, famine, and earthquakes for his purposes to do his will.

Times will get increasingly difficult but Jesus is the shining lighthouse in the midst of the storm and upon him we must keep our eyes affixed.

Christians are not called to slay the adversaries causing them suffering, we are simply called to endure.

History is controlled by God and the future is set by God

There is a way to "live in the now" that is foolish.

Order your life in a way that makes sense with the return of Christ in view. Live your life like Jesus is coming back.
