Amos 5:1-17

•Focus is the Might and Sovereignty of God.
•Hear my lament (poem of grief at a funeral).
•Once Great / Now Forsaken with no HOPE (vv2)
•Your armies destroyed (vv3)
•Repent (vv4-6)
•The nation will be destroyed, but there is still hope for you.
• SEEK ME and you will LIVE
•It wont come from sacred places
•Accusation of Legal Injustice (vv7 & 10-13).

Amos 5:18-27

•Focus is for individual to repent.
•You Hypocrites (vv18-22).
•God doesn’t want our religious ideas, he wants a relentless commitment to justice and righteousness. (vv23-24)
