”In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,

God used the unexpected to teach the unexpected.
1. The Christmas story is uncomfortable.
We expect the Christmas Story to be comfortable and trouble free, but…
God wanted to identify with our struggles.
2. The Christmas story is an example of humility.
We expect God to enter the earth in a royal extravaganza.
(Philippians 2:5-8)
3. The Christmas story is a statement of love.
We expect the Christmas story to be a demonstration of His supremacy
