Gifts
We assume everybody in the church has at least one spiritual gift. That may not be the case! Spiritual gifts are given by the Spirit to spiritual people - to those who live according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh (Rom. 8:5). Please search yourself!

2. Ministries (diakonia)
Spiritual gifts are task oriented! If the Spirit has given you a gift, the Lord Jesus wants to dosomething through you. That’s ministry/diakonia! One or multiple ministries need your gift/gifts. It is crucial to match the right gift with the right ministry!

3. Activities
If you are a spiritual person and you don’t know what your gift is but you want to discover your gift (the gift that will make you shift), this is my advice: try different activities! This is the same as discovering natural talents…

Within every ministry there are activities, BUT there are also activities outside the organized ministries. Be available for any job you might be asked to do. A volunteer is needed? Be that volunteer! When you get an assignment, do your best! Give it a fair shake!
When you try an activity, ask God to reveal to you whether you have a spiritual gift along those lines, or not. If the answer is yes, be happy! If no, be happy! Both discoveries are valuable! Don’t forget that your gift has to be validated by other spiritual people!
Thanks - to the Giver and giving - to the next receiver! Thanksgiving will be a real, ongoing thing! Yes, the gift can make you shift!
