I love Christmas! I love the traditions of spending time with family. One of the traditions in my home growing up was Advent. Every night during the weeks leading up to Christmas we would gather as a family, light a candle, sing a Christmas carol, read the Bible, pray and consider how to give to those in need around the world.

This is a tradition that I am passing down to my family and this year I would like to invite you to join us in celebrating Advent.

One way to engage in Advent is through this Arrival Live Event as well as the Arrival Booklet. In the event ahead, you will find creative ways to read the scriptures, pray and redirect some of your spending to the impoverished and marginalized around the world. I believe as you engage in Advent, you will experience the Good News, healing, freedom and favor of God that Jesus brings us at Christmas.

I hope that you will join me in changing the way you give this Christmas so that you might just change the world.
