The financially generous give more, save more and consume less
Greatest obstacle to generosity: Thinking and behaving like a consumer
Consumption assumption: “If it comes to me, then it is for me.”
1 Timothy 6:17 Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.

GENEROSITY REQUIRES A PLAN
“Non-planners" have a plan. (They just do not know what it is)

If we do not pre-decide, God will get the leftovers
