Discovery’s Claymation Christmas

The Rankin Bass Claymation Specials from the 1960’s through 80’s are some of the most kitschy and confusing parts of the American Christmas tradition. Many of these stop motion animations have very odd storylines and very little redeeming value. But they sure are fun and memorable! At Discovery we like to say that we do not take ourselves very seriously... but we do take God very seriously. So what if we used these fun and nostalgic films to help us illustrate the infinitely more important and eternal purpose of Christmas. For unto us a child was born in the city of David - a savior, who is Christ the Lord!
