This weekend in our series “The Litmus Test for Life” James is going to take us through the tongue test. James reminds us that what comes out of a mouth is a reflection of what is hidden in our hearts. Harmful and hateful words don’t just hurt they reveal a heart problem. It’s here as James gives us several real life illustrations that we discover several characteristic of test-failing tongues. Your words reveal your walk, a walk that is either grounded in truth or trash. Are your words controlled by Christ’s Word? Are you filtering your thoughts through truth before they hit your tongue? Are you walking with God or living in the garbage, because people who walk in truth don’t talk trash. Please be praying as James takes us through the tongue test, that these would be more than words but a way of life.
