CAN YOU REALLY TRUST GOD?

In order for you to trust someone, you must have three things in the relationship:

1. That person you're going to trust must tell you the truth.
2. That person must be fair, they must do what's right, just.
3. The person must be reliable, dependable if you're going to develop a relationship of trust.

"For the word of the Lord is right and true. He is faithful in all He does."Psalm 33:4

Three things God cannot do:

1. God cannot do wrong
2. God cannot lie
3. God cannot break a promise

"Not one of all the Lord's good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled." Joshua 21:45

"He is the faithful God, keeping his covenant to a thousand generations." Deut.7:9

"The Lord is faithful to all his promises." Psalm 145:13b

Six guarantees that God has promised you can count on

I CAN DEPEND ON GOD TO FORGIVE MY SINS

"If we freely admit that we have sinned, we find him reliable and just. He forgives us and makes us thoroughly clean from all that is evil." 1 John 1:9

I CAN DEPEND ON GOD TO GIVE ME GUIDANCE

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way."Proverbs 3:5-6

How do you get guidance from God?

1. Through the Bible

2. Through godly counsel

I CAN DEPEND ON GOD TO SETTLE THE SCORE

"Dear friends, never avenge yourselves. Leave that to God, for he has said he will repay those who deserve it." Romans 12:19

"Jesus never answered back when insulted; when he suffered he did not threaten to get even; he left his case in the hands of God who always judges fairly." 1 Peter 2:23

I CAN DEPEND ON GOD TO REWARD MY GENEROSITY

"Give and it will be given to you. For with the same measure you use, it will be measured to you."Luke 6:38

I CAN DEPEND ON GOD TO KEEP ME SAVED

"God guarantees right up to the end that you'll be counted free from all guilt on that day when he returns. God will surely do this for you because He always does what He promises."1 Cor. 1:8-9

"If we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for God cannot disown himself."2 Tim. 2:13

I CAN DEPEND ON GOD TO REMEMBER MY SERVICE

"God is not unfair; He will not forget all that you have done, nor the loving labor which you have shown for his sake in looking after fellow Christians."Heb. 6:10

"Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13
