1 Corinthians 13:8

Last week we looked at what love always does. The week before we looked at what love never does. This week we are going to put those two concepts together to see how perfect love, Gods love, never fails. Perfect love is a hard concept to wrap our minds around because all of our earthly experience with love has been imperfect. In fact some of our greatest pains and sorrows have come from the fact that we have been hurt by someone we loved. This can leave us in a state of confusion and false narrative when we try to grasp Gods love for us.

As we look at these verses this week and reflect on Casey's sermon, let's try to remember what love ALWAYS does, and what love NEVER does. This is a love we are not used to, a love that transcends our human notions of what love is. This is Gods love, PERFECT love. The only way to understand Gods love is to experience it, and the only way to experience it is to surrender to it. This week my prayer for us is that we begin to draw closer to Jesus, that we put ourselves in position to surrender to His love for us. I pray that we begin to trust Him fully with all of our hearts. The Lord bless you and keep you.
