APPLICATION QUESTIONS:
1. Describe a time in your own life when you were called upon to ‘take a stand’ on a principle or truth that you felt strongly about. How did you do so, and what was the result?

2. Read the following texts and discuss how they relate to the idea of taking a stand: Psalm 27:1-3; Proverbs 10:25, 14:34; Daniel 3:1-30; Matthew 5:13-16.
3. Review 1 Chronicles 11:10-24 and 2 Samuel 23:8-12. What truths do we see from the lives of these mighty men that are important for us today? How can we prove to be “mighty” in both material things as well as spiritual things?
4. In our current cultural climate, what are things you regard as being necessary to ‘take a stand’ on? How are you presently doing do? How does this apply also to the Church?
5. Why is the Gospel & Jesus Christ the only means by which lives can and will be truly changed? Review these texts as you respond: Acts 26:17-18; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20.
6. What is a single take-away for you and how will your life be changed by today’s sermon?
