(Alexander)

1 Timothy 1:18-20 “This charge I commit to you, my son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have SUFFERED SHIPWRECK, of whom are Hymenaeus (Hy-me-nae-us) and ALEXANDER, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not TO BLASPHEME.”

2 Timothy 4:14-15 “ALEXANDER, the coppersmith di to me much evil: the Lord repay him according to his works. You also MUST BEWARE of him, for he has greatly resisted our words.”

SPIRIT OF VICIOUS ASSAULT

* This demon will convince a church person to viciously oppose the obvious ministry of the Holy Spirit! It falsely accuses an anointed leader of abuse of God’s people.

· The ALEXANDER SPIRIT seduces a person into hatred and manipulating for control.

· Incredibly, this spirit turns someone from a loving admirer of a called leader into a destroyer of the leader’s character.

· Be aware that this spirit may influence you and hinder your walk with God.

ILL-FATED CHURCH PEOPLE

· There are some men whom the early apostles had nothing good to say about. ALEXANDER was one of these ILL-FATED MEMBERS.

· Demonically inspired, he thought he could get away with persecuting Paul and hindering the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

· Paul eventually handled Alexander and others with SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY by “TURNING THEM OVER FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF THEIR FLESH”.

· This was done not in REVENGE, but a hope that there might be a chance to be SAVED ETERNALLY; their spirits being much more valuable than physical bodies.

DIRECTLY EXPOSED

· Paul obviously tried to minister to Alexander to straighten up and repent. Scripture reveals that Alexander RESISTED HIS WORDS knowing Paul was God’s anointed authority.

· Paul was very bold and outspoken about Alexander harming the ministry of Christ. He didn’t even say he forgave Alexander. “MAY THE LORD REWARD HIM ACCORDING TO HIS ACTIONS!”

· Alexander was not merely disagreeing with Paul, “HE GREATLY WITHSTOOD PAUL’S WORDS!”

DEMONICALLY ANOINTED TO RESIST

· “Alexander people” are propelled to resist the WORD being preached and accuse spiritual abuse on the people by God’s leader.

UNHOLY ALLIANCES

· Alexander found someone to come into agreement with and to work against Paul’s ministry.

· Today, people create private meetings and invite select people “TO FREE THEM FROM THE CONTROLLING PASTORS”.

· These anti-authority, anti-church, and anti-teachable “CHRISTIANS” yell “abuse and control” without awareness that they are under the influence of ALEXANDER.

SPIRIT OF ALEXANDER SUMMARY

1. This demon will influence you to TURN AGAINST your delegated spiritual authorities.

2. The Alexander spirit will convince you that your leaders are actually the causes of your failures, unhappiness, and problems.

3. Alexander will cause you to not only criticize your authorities and church family, but also betray viciously.

4. This spirit will convince you that you are actually doing God a service and rescuing innocent people; actually God’s ministry is harmed beyond repair.

5. This spirit will eventually lead to great spiritual condemnation, physical and emotional sickness, even ultimate destruction.

ALEXANDER POP QUIZ

Ask yourself these questions:

1. Do I think I can speak harshly against delegated authorizes with God’s approval?

2. Do I ever feel like I am the only one in the group who is right?

3. Do I ever try to influence and convince others that I am the right one?

4. Do I maliciously slander my Christian leaders trying to get others to abandon their church?

5. Do I attend and participate in “fellowships” that knowingly defame, criticize, and dismantle ministries?

6. Do I feel anger, disappointment, or resentment that pastors and other Christians are the fault for my problems and actions?

FINAL WARNING

· We should all be warned not to give place to this demonic voice. Alexander is still influencing Christians in our midst.

· In today’s world, Alexander posts messages of manipulation to unsuspecting “friends”.

· The pastor’s reputation, character, and ministry style must be misrepresented to gain control and influence.

· Alexander infected people want the local church, the prophetic, and the pastor stripped of authority and influence.

Ezekiel 34:17-18 “As for you, my flock, this is what your Sovereign Lord says, “I will judge between one sheep and another, and between rams and goats. It is not enough for you to feed on the good pasture? Must you also trample the rest of your pasture with your feet? Is it not enough for you to drink clear water? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet?

Do I often try to domineer and overpower my mate, boss, pastor, or family members?

Temporary affliction often leads to permanent salvation:

Psalm 83:15 Pursue them with Your tempest and frighten them with Your storm. 16 Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek Your Name, O Lord. 17 Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever; Yes, let them be put to shame and perish, THAT THEY MAY KNOW THAT YOU, whose Name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.
