The Spirit of Unbelief


Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ, 11 LEST SATAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF US; FOR WE ARE NOT IGNORANT OF HIS DEVICES AND SCHEMES.
2 Corinthians 2:10-11

And I said to you, “You have come to the mountains of the Amorites, which the Lord our God is giving us. 21 Look, the Lord your God has set the land before you; go up and possess it, as the Lord God of your fathers has spoken to you; DO NOT FEAR OR BE DISCOURAGED.
Deuteronomy 1:20-21

And every one of you came near to me and said, “Let us send men before us, and let them search out the land for us, and bring back word to us of the way by which we should go up, and of the cities into which we shall come.
Deuteronomy 1:22

The plan pleased me well; so I took twelve of your men, one man from each tribe. 24 And they departed and went up into the mountains, and came to the Valley of Eschol, and spied it out.
Deuteronomy 1:23-24

They also took some of the fruit of the land in their hands and brought it back down to us; and they brought back word to us, saying, “It is a good land which the Lord our God is giving us.
Deuteronomy 1:25

Nevertheless you would not go up, but rebelled against the command of the Lord your God; 27 and you complained in your tents, and said, because the Lord hates us, He has brought us out of the land of Egypt to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us!
Deuteronomy 1:26-27

• BEWARE…this demonic spirit will influence:

1. DOUBTING GOD’S PROMISES FOR YOU!

2. RESISTING YOUR LEADER!

3. QUITTING AND TURNING BACK FROM GOD’S PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE!

• This demonic spirit intends to have you die on the wrong side of your potential in every way.

When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him. 15“Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. 16I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.”
Matthew 17:14-16

“You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” 18Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment. 19Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”
Matthew 17:17-19



He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Matthew 17:20

• When things don’t happen in Church like HEALING, People think that God must want people to stay SICK...

...but if God wanted people to be SICK Jesus wouldn’t have come to The Cross & been beaten for Our HEALING.



• When it comes to Healing, Deliverance, Salvation, or Moving into ALL God has Promised, The CHURCH needs UNCOMMON BELIEF in order to move a Mountain...

...& everyday There are is a Mountain that needs to be MOVED!!!



And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28

• People that Struggle with Unbelief Rehearse Past Failure, but People that are willing to Believe in everything that God’s Word says, Decree their Future Success Through The EYES of FAITH!





• When Faced with an IMPOSSIBLE SITUATION, people that are plagued with The Spirit of Unbelief will LOOK at the enormous size of their Mountain & immediately become intimidated.

• The first REACTION that comes out of their mouth is "there’s no way they can win".



• But There is A Place BEYOND BELIEF, a Place of FAITH, a DIFFERENT Place, a DIFFERENT Mindset & a DIFFERENT way of Life!

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
I Corinthians 2:12

• When living in the BELIEF that everything God Promised belongs to us, not only do we walk according to God’s will and live life DIFFERENTLY...

...but we also go BEYOND the World’s EXPECTATIONS with what our God has EMPOWERED us to Have & what He has EMPOWERED to ACCOMPLISH!



• People that aren’t ACTIVATED in their FAITH live life from the outside looking in, but people that have FAITH ACTIVATED in life, live from the inside looking out.

• People that aren’t ACTIVATED in their FAITH look at circumstances and surroundings and say what can I do...All is Lost?



• People that are ACTIVATED in their FAITH decide this is what I want to do & so the circumstances and surroundings have to move for me to do it...

...that's Living BEYOND BELIEF!!!



• When you Live Life from a Place of BELIEF instead of UNBELIEF, you live Life from the inside out.

• God’s voice BECOMES a louder voice than every other voice around you!





• If you find a DEFEATED Person you will find someone whose Outside world is bigger than their Inside world!!!



• Your INSIDE is supposed to become BIGGER than your OUTSIDE, & when you get big enough on the INSIDE you will start to out grow some bad habits that are seen on the OUTSIDE.




The Spirit of Unbelief

Deuteronomy 1:22

• Twelve Spies were sent but ten of the twelve spies influenced doubt and fear in the whole congregation.

• Those that were walking in faith could not change the faithless mindset of people.

• Moses, Caleb, and Joshua could not bring calm and repentance after the report of the 10 spies.

• This demon seduces CHURCH PEOPLE to give up on REAL FAITH by expecting God to do everything for them.

• These ten spies were disturbed that after wandering in the wilderness for 40 years that God didn’t just turn it over to them.

• Beware of DEMONIC ENTITLEMENT!!!





• The 10 Spies FELT that they had done and endured enough to INHERIT THE PROMISES!

• This spirit will suggest to you in your Mind ALL YOU HAVE GIVEN UP and ALL YOU HAVE DONE for God.

• They FELT ENTITLED that God owed them everything He had promised.

• The ten spies recognized this was the land God promised, but distorted fear set in.

• They were afraid of the GIANTS and the FORTIFIED CITIES that they saw.

• MAJOR POINT: Faith sees obstacles and hindrances as a RIGHTEOUS CHALLENGE to believe God!

• Joshua and Caleb were excited to take the challenge to possess their God-Given promises.

• The Spirit of Unbelief says, “If God really wants me to have it, He will just do it.”

• The Reality is EVERYONE TALKS, BUT FEW DO!

• Refuse to let this demon weaken your belief and seduce you from your potential.

• Cast down imaginations and feelings that expect God to do it all.

• This demonic spirit causes you to have an inferior twisted view of yourself.

• These spies saw themselves as “less than” their enemies!

• These 10 men even believed that their enemies viewed them as nothing in their sight.


• IMPORTANT QUESTION: Do you fear people and circumstances rather than Trust God’s ability to empower you to overcome them?

• This opinion of yourself is actually keeping you from your greatest potential in God’s provision for you!

They returned from spying out the land after 40 days. 26 They came back to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel; and they brought back word to them and to all and showed them the fruit of the land.
Numbers 13:25-26

Then they said, “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. 28 Nevertheless the people are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there.
Numbers 13:27-28

The Amalekites dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites and the Jebusites dwell in the mountains, and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan.
Numbers 13:29

Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up AT ONCE and take possession, FOR WE ARE WELL ABLE TO OVERCOME!”
Numbers 13:30

But the men who had gone up with him said, “We ARE NOT ABLE to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are.
Numbers 13:31

And they gave the people a bad report of the land in which they had spied out, saying, “The land is a land that devours its inhabitants and all the people we saw were of great stature. There we saw the giants and we were like grasshoppers IN OUR OWN SIGHT, and so WE WERE IN THEIR SIGHT.”
Numbers 13:32

• The demon of unbelief if allowed will cause you to defile the prophetic faith of a family, business, or a ministry.

• Unbelief Will Muddy The Waters of Belief & Faith for The People you are Connected to.

So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and all the people wept all that night. 2 And the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or even if we had died in the wilderness!
Numbers 14:1-2

“Why has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should be come victims of our enemies? Would it not be better to return to Egypt?
Numbers 14:3

So they said to one another, “Let us choose a leader and return to Egypt!”
Numbers 14:4

• You and those believing your evil report will live and die on the wrong side of God’s potential and provision.

• Beware of this ANTI-FAITH, ANTI-TRUST, ANTI-COURAGE DEMON and anyone influenced by it.

• This spirit will keep you disappointed in what you expected God to do for you.

• This spirit emphasizes God’s promises, but pushes painful feelings that God has let you down.

• This spirit will exaggerate your fears and diminish your trust in God’s faithfulness.

• This demon discredits your leader and causes you to desire someone else that validates your complaints.

• The Spirit of Unbelief will instantly take you off your faith walk and you will return to your bondage.

Last Word:

• Be careful of Your AGREEMENTS, Don NOT Except to Easily The Reports of People...

…trust ONLY The Report that Comes From The Lord!
