Recap - Lifeline
Praying can be an awkward and challenging thing for many. Maybe you wonder if God even hears or cares, or you simply don't know what to say or how to say it. Maybe you've heard some pretty crazy prayers in your time. But, what if it was meant to be something that could actually impact your life, change your perspective, and grow your life and faith? What if it could be a lifeline to you? And what if that all started with our attitude and how we approach prayer in the first place?

RUNNING PARTNER QUESTIONS
(1) What's one time where you had some serious miscommunication? What happened?
(2) What do you remember about prayer from your childhood?
(3) When you think about your best relationships, what makes them so special? Can any of those things relate to your relationship with God?
(4) What are your general views on prayer, what you should pray for, when you should pray, etc.?
(5) Read Luke 8:4-8, 11-15. Jesus tells a parable that the people could relate to & then talks about how we are all at least one of the soils. What soil do you think you have most identified with over the course of your life? What about where you are right now in your life?
(6) Read Luke 8:15 again. What do you think this looks like practically in your life? Why do you think it says "persevering"?
(6) Connect with God, like any relationship, means we're both listening and talking, and that takes time. How can you create "deep roots" and not "neglecting" your relationship (like the rocky soil and the weedy soil) with God? What can you do this week to make time to talk and listen to God?
(7) What's your biggest struggle when it comes to talking or listening to God? As Running Partners, pray for each other over the next several weeks about these things.

PRAYER
"Thank you Lord that you want to hear from me, that you want to speak to me. Help me to be the good soil, that hears you, and retains what you say. Produce something good in and through me. Help me to be aware of you today. In Jesus name, amen"
