The 5 Giants We Face
FEAR
The fear that has begun to dominate us, and at the end of the day we know it diminishes God's plan for our lives and Gods' glory in our lives.

COMFORT
Comfort can become a huge problem if it brings us to complacency.

ANGER
Something is smoldering inside us.
“Our anger is provoked when others belittle us, or attack our character.”
“The Giant of Anger goes down when we pick up the stone of forgiveness. Forgiveness means acknowledge the wrong done but not holding it against the other person.
THREE KINDS OF ANGER:
· WRONG FELT ANGER-feeling angry about something that never happened.
· RIGHT FELT ANGER-anger that’s expressed in the wrong manner.
· RIGHTLY FELT ANGER THAT’S NEVER EXPRESSED -Angry but you pretend everything is fine. It’s REPRESSED.
REJECTION
Maybe you have grown up in a performance-based environment. We fear that people will only love us if we produce the needed results.
ADDICTION
The root cause of most addiction is pain. When we experience rejection, or are overwhelmed, or even just bored with life, we look for ways to numb the pain. We look for ways to COVER UP, what is real. Lots of different addictions taunt us, and most of us, have at one time struggled with at least one.

• Point --Whatever Giant we're battling might be BIG, or intimidating, but it's not BIGGER than God!!!!
• Point: Just like David’s, the enemy will send Giants against us to torment us and make us miserable. But, we can’t allow those giants to have power in our lives.
• Point: It’s not God’s will for us to have “giants” in our lives that are demoralizing us and stealing God’s glory from us
• Point:But, we are not “ David” in the story, We can’t bring our Giants down by trying harder.
• Jesus represents David, and he is the one who does the work in bringing Goliath down.
• Point: Our ultimate defense against the enemy is (leaning into the all-sufficiency of Christ. (Faith in God)
