SERENITY PRAYER:
God, give me grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.

1. Find the “Psalm of the Day” (today’s date, + 30, + 30, +30, +30)
2. Scan those five psalms.
3. Pick one to pray.
4. Pray the Bile back to God.

EXAMPLE FROM PSALM 23:
“The Lord is my shepherd…”
God, thank you that you are my shepherd, You are a good shepherd. Help me as a sheep to follow your leading and guidance… (etc.)

God, thank you for providing for me. Thank you for the home that I live in, my family, my church, my friends, my job. I recognize that every good thing in my life is a gift from You. [Pray for your needs here…]
“He makes me lie down beside green pastures…”
Lord, when I read the words, “lie down,” I have to confess… I’m tired, Lord. Help relieve the stress I’m under now so I can get some rest.
“…He leads me beside quiet waters…”
Lord, I have some decisions to make and I need your leading. Lead me into your will. Quiet the anxiety and the discontent I am feeling and make your will in this matter clear. Give me your peace as I follow you.
