3. Review: Here is the Portrait Jesus was Painting
a) “Sheep Gate” – where they brought in Lambs to be sacrificed for sins.
b) “Pool called Bethesda” – House of Mercy
c) “Five roofed colonnades” – The Books of Moses – the Law
d) “Lay a multitude of invalids” – The condition of Israel and mankind as a whole.
e) “One man was there…38 years” – All those 20 yrs and older died in the wilderness after 38 years.

THREE CLEAR WARNINGS TO THOSE WHO REJECT THE SON OF GOD
I. JESUS WARNS OF THE ULTIMATE REJECTION
1. Question: “Who is Jesus?” – Jesus is the Son of God!!!

a) And they hated Him for it!!!
3. Vs 19-20
a) “Truly, truly” – The Lord assured His hearers that what he was about to say, in the strongest possible terms, was true.
4. Matthew 1:20-23
A. ONLY GOD CAN RAISE THE DEAD

a) The Jews believed that only God could raise the dead.
2. Vs 24-25
B. ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE
1. Vs 22
a) The Jews believed that only God had the right to Judge.

a) Jesus is to receive honor.
3. VERY IMPORTANT: ALL TRANSACTIONS TO THE FATHER MUST GO THROUGH THE SON!!!!
