APPLICATION QUESTIONS:
1. Read 2 Corinthians 1:3-11. What stands out to you the most in these verses?

2. As you watch the news, read the paper or view your internet news feed, in what ways do you see people attempting to find comfort in the things of this world?
3. 2 Corinthians 1:3 says that God is the source of all comfort, what does this mean? What does it mean to have comfort in our life?
4. Read John 14:26-27 – Where does Jesus say our comfort comes from?
5. Read 2 Corinthians 1:4. What the purpose of the comfort we receive? How is this displayed in our everyday life?
6. Read James 1:2-4. What is our reaction meant to be when we experience trials? What is to purpose of trials?
7. Can you think of a time where you felt hopeless and helpless in a situation? How did God deliver you from that situation?
8. God never intended for us to walk alone, to handle stress and solve all of our problems by ourselves. How does God use us as brothers and sisters in Christ to share each other’s burdens?
