Praise
Psalm 103:1-5

Praise is the appropriate and anticipated expression of the Christian’s heart toward God. In this text we see 3 aspects of our praise.

I. The Object of our Praise: A Holy Name.

II. The Reasons for our Praise: His Bountiful Dealings.

III. The Result of our Praise: Renewal.

Conclusion: Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. (Psalm 116:7, ESV)

Remember to Pray…for Emily C. as she and her boyfriend recover from injuries sustained in last Monday’s accident…for Darlene R. as her doctors continue to test for the possibility of blood clots in her arm…for Al L. as he continues to recover from hip-replacement surgery…for those who continue to face the challenges of COVID 19 confined to nursing care and assisted living facilities…for the elimination or mitigation of COVID 19…for church leadership as they seek God’s wisdom for the renewing of church ministries…for school leadership as they plan for the fall…that God will lead DCC to the person he has chosen and prepared to serve DCC as Youth Pastor…for our missionaries serving around the world.

The shower will be held at DCC and is being hosted by Amanda P, Carly C. and Mary H. Please RSVP to Amanda or Mary (check the church bulletin, directory, or contact the office for their cell numbers). Social distancing will be observed if desired. Feel free to wear a mask. The B's are registered at Target and Amazon. Instead of a card, please write a note in your favorite book for their family to enjoy.

School Supplies: The Fisher-Area Churches are collecting school supplies for low-income students in the Fisher School District. DCC has been asked to supply items for the 5th grade and high school. Cards with needed items can be found on the table in the hallway. Feel free to take one or more cards, purchase the item(s) listed on the card, and return them to DCC on or before Sunday, July 26. Cash donations are also being accepted which will provide for the purchase of items not taken.

For Your Information: Pastor Neal will be on vacation from Sunday, July 26 through Tuesday, August 11. In his absence the pulpit will be filled by Dr. Ken C. of Urbana Theological Seminary (July 26); Jimmie C, an elder at Fisher Community Church (August 2) and Mike R. of Seek and Find Ministries (August 9).
