No matter what you do, you cannot change who God is.
We can resist Him, run from Him, fight Him, curse Him, reject Him, even deny His very existence. But that will never change Him.

Why Do We Believe God is Disappointed?
-We grew up with disapproving parents.
-Someone in our present life has expressed their disappointment (spouse, employer, etc.)
-We've been taught that God is a disapproving judge who's difficult to please
-We've disappointed ourself.
God's not like all the disappointed people in your life!

Can God Even Be Disappointed?
Disappointment involves surprise and frustration.
Can God be surprised?
Can God be frustrated?
Surprise - an unexpected or astonishing event, fact, or thing. A revelation, an eye-opener, a wake-up call.
Frustrated - to have your plans and purposes thwarted.
-to be prevented from accomplishing something.
-to be successfully opposed.

The Beauty of the Cross:
The beauty of the cross is that God has never wrapped up any of His expectancy in your performance. Your relationship with God is not based on your performance, it is based upon Christ’s performance.
His grace CANNOT be over-exaggerated. It can be completely missed and misunderstood, but it cannot be over-exaggerated!
It’s my experience of His grace, His undeserved favor, love, and mercy toward me that makes me want to obey Him!
Holiness is a fruit of His Grace, not the other way around!

The blood of Jesus IS enough to cleanse us from ALL our sins!
God doesn’t lead with fear. He leads with love. Because fear destroys intimacy, but love and mercy grow intimacy.
You haven’t let Him down. He’s not disillusioned by you.
