"In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong." - Job 1:22
There will be some ups and downs and there will be some highs and lows, but God’s plan for your life is perfect because God is perfect and we can take encouragement in that truth alone.
Job 1:1-12
Aside from Job's ten children and numerous servants, verse 3 says that Job had "seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys."
One scholar calculated the value of that livestock in 2009 dollars to be almost $5.3 million in animals alone, not counting other possible assets.
Making the claim that Job was the greatest of all of the people in the East would have been a very easy statement to make.

Before Job lost everything, he was faithful in the good times. Too often, we forget God when everything is great. When things are going well we think we can handle it. We have everything under control.
But it is in the bad times, when we don't have control of our lives that we run to God and ask Him to fix it all.
The Bible says that Job sought God regularly to worship, ask forgiveness and praise Him. Job was faithful, good times and bad.

"...and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all." - Job 1:5b
Job 1:13-2:9
After the start of Satan's approved assault on Job’s life, all of Job’s prosperity and family, except his wife, is gone in an afternoon. In just a few verses Job plummets from wealth and prosperity to grief and insolvency. Would he also plummet from loyalty to God?
Falling to the ground in respect to God, instead of cursing, Job worshipped. Recognizing His sovereign rights, Job praised God.
As Job was attempting to recover from losing everything, he begins to feel boils forming all over his body. To relieve the pain from these horrible boils, he used a piece of broken pottery to scrape the ooze from his sores and to ease the constant itching.
So we see Job go from Prince of the East to destitute and covered in boils sitting in the dump in ashes. Then to add on top of it all, Job’s wife tells him to curse God and die!

"So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head." - Job 2:7
Job 2:10
"But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips."
Job looks at his wife and says, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks.” Job isn’t saying his wife is a fool. He's saying that she is speaking foolishly, and then says, “Shall we indeed accept good from God and shall we not accept adversity?”
In calm confidence in God’s ways, Job points out that the good times and the times of adversity both come from God. That statement is in contradiction with the view of most people that bad things in the world mean that God does not exist.

"But he said to her, 'You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?'” - Job 2:10
God created humanity to have a relationship with Him because He loves us.
Our sins separate us from God
The Bible says that everyone has sinned and because of that, our relationship with God is broken. The Bible actually says that one sin equals death because it goes against God’s character.
Sins cannot be removed by good deeds
Going to church every Sunday, giving all the money you have to good causes and doing good things doesn’t do anything to alter your stance with God.
Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again
Jesus, who is God’s son, came to earth and lived a perfect life, didn’t sin once, He died for all of humanity.
Everyone who trusts in Him alone has eternal life
There isn’t any fine print clause under everyone. John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Life with Jesus starts now and lasts forever
Why wait? Why put this decision off? You never know when your life on this earth will end and eternity will begin. Give your life to Jesus today.
Jesus Christ died on the cross for you because He loves you and wants to spend the rest of eternity in Heaven with you.
