• We can be wholly aware or unaware of God's presence
• God is not obligated to make His presence known
• At certain times, God graciously allows us to experience His presence
• Although God is present everywhere, God is not everything (Pantheism)
• God would remain should any or all parts of our universe be destroyed
• God's presence among us is an act of voluntary condescension
