Jesus will and should always challenge our THINKING, our VALUES and our BEHAVIOR.
Now he HAD TO go through Samaria.—John 4.4
Jesus answered her, “IF YOU KNEW the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”—John 4.10
He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.” “I have no husband,” she replied.—John 4.16-17a
The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am he.”—John 4.25-26
Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, “What do you want?” or “Why are you talking with her?” —John 4.27
“Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” They came out of the town and made their way toward him. —John 4.29-30
Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” —John 4.39
GOD, not OTHERS give us our VALUE
There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. —Galatians 3.28-29
The highest calling is to be CHRIST'S DISCIPLE
“Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” —Luke 10.42b
They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.” —John 4.42
The best life is spent CONNECTING PEOPLE to JESUS
