Fail Forward: learn from mistakes so that they ultimately help you make progress toward becoming more like Jesus
God’s response: “I will be with you.”
God’s response: “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
God’s response: “Perform these miraculous signs”
God’s response: “Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”
Moses: “Lord, please send someone else to do it.”
Moses failed because he continually focused on his own insecurities and shortcomings rather than trusting God’s power and provision.
How often do we focus on our insecurities rather than the sufficiency of Christ? How often do we offer excuses instead of our obedience?
What is God calling you to do? Or, what have you been failing to do because of your insecurities, excuses, and what ifs?
Commit to spending time with God this week, asking him to reveal what it is that He wants you to do, despite your weaknesses.
“What do you do with your weaknesses, failures, and wounds? Do you hand them over to God in exchange for His grace and strength, or do you wallow in self-pity, allowing the enemy of your soul to immobilize you?”
