I. Authentic relationships strengthen us.

A. We need someone to transform us by His strength.

B. We need someone to trust in an unstable world.

C. We need someone to guide us in life’s transitions.

D. We need someone to turn to in life’s battles.

II. Biblical convictions are the foundation for our relationships.

A. We believe in the value of persons and God’s creation.

B. We believe in the truth of the Bible.

C. We believe in the power of prayer.

D. We believe in the community of the church.

Acts 15
1. There were obvious leaders.
2. The church was a clearly defined group.
3. They exhibited unity.
4. They were “speakers of the gospel.”
5. They were Bible-centered.
6. There was clear communication.
7. They had specific ethical and moral standards of behavior.
8. They sought to resolve problems.
9. There was encouragement and strengthening of the believers.
10. They believed in evangelism of the lost, missions to other cultures and follow-up with new believers.
11. Even when there were challenges, they achieved resolution.

E. We believe God calls us to action.

- Make sure that you have turned by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 1:9

- Repent of your idolatry.

- Consciously depend on Christ.

- Commit to membership in a local church.

- Join a Bible & Life Group.

- Form a strong bond with a Christian friend.

- Begin to expand your community.
