Summary
Life is a choice of who we listen to! God, nature, or the enemy.
Everyone has beliefs. Beliefs are formed based on information, whether right or wrong, whether good or bad. Information comes listening to voices.

All voices can be divided into three categories:
· Godly voice
· Your (Natural) Voice
· Enemy’s Voice

Which voice one listens to in the short term will determine the course of his day.
Listening longer will determine one’s season
Which voice one listens to the most in life will determine one’s eternal destination.
Examples: - Career path, where to live, school choice, spouse, children, church, ministry

Illustration 1 – Adam and Eve
Genesis 2:15–17 (NLT)
15 The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it.
16 But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden—
17 except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”

Genesis 3:1–7 (NLT)
1 The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”
2 “Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied.
3 “It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’ ”
4 “You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman.
5 “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”
6 The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too.
7 At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.

7 Ways to Hear God’s Voice

1. Scripture:
"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work" (II Timothy 3:16-17).

2. The Holy Spirit speaking to our heart:
"For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall not teach everyone his fellow citizen, and everyone his brother, saying, 'know the Lord,' for all will know Me, from the least to the greatest of them" (Hebrews 8:10-11).

3. The Prophetic (word of knowledge, word of wisdom, personal prophecy):
"Do not quench the Spirit; do not despise prophetic utterances. But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good" (I Thessalonians 5:19-21).

4. Godly counsel:
"Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors there is safety" (Proverbs 11:14).

5. Confirmation:
"By the mouth of two or three witnesses every fact may be confirmed" (Matthew 18:16).

6. The peace of God:
"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful" (Colossians 3:15).

7. Circumstances/Timing:
"After these things he (Paul) left Athens and went to Corinth. And he found a certain Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, having recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome. He came to them, and because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them and they were working; for by trade they were tent-makers" (Acts 18:1-3)
