Sermon Notes (1 of 2)
Welcome Home - A Revised Definition of 'Us'

God was very intentional about how He chose to organize the church.

He organized the church like a body.

God placed you here for a reason.

We need each other to do His work.

We are here for each other.

What is the difference between the church and a social club?

The church is concerned with making disciples of Jesus; Social organizations are not.

What makes our church what it is – is Jesus.

The most important thing about our church is that you know Him and love Him and have a deep desire to surrender your life to Him and follow His lead.
Sermon Notes (2 of 2)
Welcome Home - A Revised Definition of 'Us'

If we are going to make the most important thing the most important thing, then we need to hold each other accountable to it.

We all sin.

Sin will deceive us. Sin will harden our hearts.

One of the most effective ways we can help each other within this body called the church is to encourage each other.

When it comes to US, God wants us to do whatever we can to encourage one another to keep each other believing that Jesus is better and not fall prey to sin’s deceitfulness.

Every sermon, every conversation, every interaction is an opportunity to extend grace and grow faith. There are no meaningless moments.

New Ladies' Bible Study

Wednesday's | 9:30-11:30 am | A110

The Seekers Ladies' Group is starting a new 12 week study discussing the novel "Sensible Shoes" by Sharon Garlough Brown.

In this novel, we will join four women, Hannah, a pastor who doesn't realize how exhausted she is, Meg, a widow and recent empty-nester who is haunted by her past, Mara, a woman who has experienced a lifetime of rejection and is now trying to navigate a difficult marriage and Charissa, a hard-working graduate student who wants to get things right as they reluctantly arrive at a retreat center and find themselves drawn out of their separate stories of isolation and struggle and into a collective journey of spiritual practice, mutual support and personal revelation.

Ladies of all ages are welcome to join!
