Happy Father’s Day 2020
Journey Church wishes all the dads a very Happy Father’s Day
COVID-19
We will be having 2 services
9:00 AM and 11:00 AM In an attempt to avoid any overcrowding and to keep everyone as safe as possible
This will be a touchless service:
No handshakes,
No hugging, etc.
Meaning spread out unless you are family. Seating is set up and marked for social distancing.
Wear a mask if you have one, we will have masks available.
We will not be having children’s church for the time being, but will be asking parents to have your children sit with you.
Reason, children are social and they are not the best at social distancing.
We will continue to send home the packets for the children as we have been doing throughout the restrictions. Check out resources available at www.myjclife.org
We will not be having in-person Wednesday night service for the near future.
We will continue to live-stream Sunday and Wednesday services (Sundays at 9:00 AM and Wednesdays at 7:00 PM) on the Journey Church Duffield Facebook Page and post services on the Journey Church Duffield YouTube site.

Is a Father important in the life of his children? YES!
There is a father absence crisis in America.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 19.7 million children, more than 1 in 4, live without a father in the home. Consequently, there is a father factor in nearly all social ills facing America today.

Professor Bengtson also found that one parent matters more than the other — and it’s Dad. “But what is really interesting,” he writes, “is that, for religious transmission, having a close bond with one’s father matters even more than a close relationship with one’s mother.”
In general however, “fervent faith cannot compensate for a distant dad.” Over and over in interviews, Professor Bengtson said, he found that “a father who is an exemplar, a pillar of the church, but doesn’t provide warmth and affirmation to his kid does not have kids who follow him in his faith.”
