NACA Home-buying Seminar - 5/06/17 @ 10 AM
The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America ("NACA") is a non-profit, community advocacy and homeownership organization. NACA’s primary goal is to build strong, healthy neighborhoods in urban and rural areas nationwide through affordable homeownership. NACA has made the dream of homeownership a reality for thousands of working people by counseling them honestly and effectively, enabling even those with poor credit to purchase a home or refinance a predatory loan with far better terms than those provided even in the prime market.
On Saturday, May 6th at 10 AM, representatives from NACA will be available to provide prospective home-buyers with information that can help get them well on their way to home ownership. Registration is required. Seats fill up fast. Sign up today at naca.com!

Introduction
What would you say about a doctor who knew everybody else was dying without a solution, and wouldn’t share the solution he/she had? This is the situation for many Christians.

Notes
- In Acts 3, we see Peter and John going into the temple in Jerusalem to follow the daily tradition of prayer. (The Jews prayed three times a day)
- As they entered the temple they encountered a beggar, who had been crippled all his life.
- Peter and John stopped and paid attention to the man. He looked at them, expecting to receive something. The world is looking for something.
- Peter told them they didn’t have money to give him, but what they had was even better. They exercised power of attorney by using the name of Jesus.
*Power of attorney means the legal and written authority to transact business for another

Why Jesus?
Jesus is the best gift we can give. We must never forget that as a church our main responsibility is to give our world Jesus – knowing Him and making Him known.
Peter and John gave the man a hand up, not a hand out. Notice his response – The man’s transformation was a testimony to everyone around the temple and served as an opportunity for Peter and John to proclaim the gospel (v. 12).

Jesus is the Answer by Andrae Crouch
“Jesus is the answer, for the world today,
Above Him there's no other,
Jesus is the way.
If you have some questions
In the corners of your mind,
Traces of discouragement,
The peace you cannot find,
Reflections of your past,
Seem to face you every day,
But this one thing I do know,
That Jesus is the way.”

In Conclusion...
The church’s main task is knowing Christ and making Him known. The world is in trouble and we must give them Jesus – we must tell the world about Him and live in such a way that people see Him in us.
