The Bible gives us a few examples of Jesus crying. One of them is when he approached Jerusalem, shortly before his death, looked over the city, and wept. Why did he cry? 1 Jesus cried because his own did not receive him. His own people, the Jews, rejected him. - Cristo lloró porque los suyos no lo aceptaron. Su propio pueblo, los Judíos, lo rechazaron.

2 Jesus cried for the destruction that the people of Jerusalem would experience in a few short years. It would be ugly and bloody... a complete crushing of Jerusalem and the temple by Titus and the Romans in A.D. 70. Josephus talks about blood running in the streets a foot deep. 4 Jesus cried because of their missed opportunity. Their Messiah and come to them, and he was rejected. Their day of visitation and salvation came, and they missed it. Cristo lloró por su oportunidad perdida de los habitantes de Jerusalén. Su Mesías llegó y fue rechazado. Su día de visitación salvación había llegado, y lo perdió.

Is Jesus grieved today because of your hard heart? Will you miss your day of visitiation, too? Call on Jesus and be saved, delivered and set free. If you are saved, do you weep for the lost like Jesus? Ask him to give you a heart of compassion like his. ¿Está Cristo llorando por ti hoy por causa de tu corazón endurecido? ¿Estás perdiendo tu día de visitación?
