What does it look like to live on mission as the gathered and scattered people belonging to God's Kingdom?
Living on Mission here at Journey Christian Church is inspired by these words straight from scripture:

Matthew 28:18-20
18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Journey Mission Statement: "To Know And Obey Jesus, And Train Others To Do The Same."

BIG IDEA:
Because we have been reconciled to God through the gospel of Jesus Christ, we are now ambassadors of reconciliation to a lost and broken world.

Through our everyday lives, our words and actions, our convictions and responses - we plead, we urge, we implore, we reason, we pray, we serve, we preach, we teach and we gather to see God glorified through reconciliation.

>>> Our Jesus shaped unity inspires our daily mission for gospel-shaped unity.

* As good news shaped people our daily mission should be about spreading the good news in a way that forges unity in our communities.

* God’s mission and the mission of His Church are inseparably linked.

What does the Bible say about unity?

>>> Our Grace-shaped lives embrace and embody Grace-shaped equality.

* The great Commandment and the Great Commission are the greatest vision for Grace-shaped equality

What does the Bible say about equality?

* Gospel-shaped equality is not uniformity.
