1. Icebreaker: As a child, what was your favorite alternate identity when you played games?

2. What insight, principle, or observation from Sunday’s sermon/message did you find to be most helpful, eye opening, or troubling?

3. Read Ephesians 6:10-17 - What is the Apostle Paul’s urgency in getting the church to stand firm? Why do you think he concluded his letter to the Ephesian church emphasizing spiritual warfare?

4. Share the last battle you faced as a follower of Christ? Maybe you’re still in the battle. Can you describe for the group how you first knew you were in the battle? Were you ready for the attack? How could you have been more prepared?

5. Of the six pieces of spiritual armor listed in verses 14-17, which one is the most important to you? Why? How many times each week do you “put on” the “whole armor of God”?

6. Read Philippians 3:9. Why is it important to understand that the righteousness talked about in the breastplate be that of Christ and not of our own making?

7. Describe the Greek words used in for the Bible “Logos” and “Rhema.” What do they mean? Why is it so important for a believer to know the Bible?

8. Pastor Paul talked about the idea that we walk in two worlds, physical and spiritual. Describe how spiritual battles you might have fought affected your physical life.

9.Read Ephesians 6:18 and Philippians 4:6-7. What are you anxious about? Would you want to join with the group and pray about those anxious thoughts? How else can our group pray for you this week?
