Everyone, at some point, has been disappointed in themselves. We believe that this points to an external standard, a Creator.

The good work is sanctification. It is both instant at salvation and a continuous process as we press in to relationship with Christ.

The Greek word, ἁγιασμός(hagiasmos), translated "sanctification" means "holiness." To sanctify, therefore, means "to make holy." In one sense only God is holy ( Isa 6:3 ). God is separate, distinct, other. No human being or thing shares the holiness of God's essential nature. There is one God. Yet Scripture speaks about holy things. Moreover, God calls human beings to be holy as holy as he is holy ( Lev 11:44 ; Matt 5:48 ; 1 Peter 1:15-16 ). Another word for a holy person is "saint", meaning a sanctified one. The opposite of sanctified is "profane" ( Lev 10:10 ).
Show me your friends and I will show you your future.

3 Criteria for Champ Friends.

1. Chemistry- Do you enjoy this person? Like hanging out with them?

2. Character- Do they create a culture of elevated character? When you are with them do you find yourself compelled to make decisions that you are proud of or regret?

Proverbs 13:20 NLT
Walk with the wise and become wise;
associate with fools and get in trouble.

Wise- Ability to discern God's will in any given situation.
Fool- Not naive, but irreverent. They know right from wrong and don't care.

3. Christ- Do you share a common mission with them to follow Jesus? Do they accelerate your following of Christ or do they act as an anchor?

Matthew 16:24-26 NLT
24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. 25 If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. 26 And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?[a] Is anything worth more than your soul?

Can you form a sense of brotherhood by mutually responding to the call of Jesus to live and share the gospel?
