Lenten Devotional Book

Journey with us as we walk through the final days of Jesus’ life on earth and reflect on the spiritual disciplines associated with the season of Lent. As a tool for your walk, Christ Community has assembled a daily Lenten Devotional booklet you can pick up at church today. Our hope is that we will humble ourselves like Jesus and come to know and experience the King’s triumph.

Baptism Celebration TODAY

Everyone is invited to our church-wide baptism celebration, today at 3:00pm at the Olathe Campus, 20600 W. 119th St., Olathe. Bring a nut-free dessert to share.
Title: Hell? Yes.
Scripture: Matthew 25:31-46
Speaker: Gabe Coyle, GabeC@ChristCommunityKC.org

>> Love who the world ignores.
>> Judgment is coming.
“If we lose God in the modern world, then we lose access to these four great ideas - meaning, purpose, responsibility, and accountability.”
- Steve Garber
"For many years I looked at life like a case at law. It was a series of proofs. When you're young you prove how brave you are, or smart; then, what a good lover; then, a good father; finally, how wise, or powerful or [whatever.] And we all do that, right?

But underlying it all, I see now, there was a presumption. That one moved . . . on an upward path toward some elevation, where . . . I would be justified, or even condemned. A verdict anyway. I think now that my disaster really began when I looked up one day . . . and the bench was empty. No judge in sight. And all that remained was the endless argument with oneself, this pointless litigation of existence before an empty bench. . . Which, of course, is another way of saying - despair."
- Arthur Miller, After the Fall
"In a sun-scorched land, soaked in the blood of the innocent, it will invariably die…[with] other pleasant captivities of the liberal mind."
- Mirslov Volf
>> The clearest gauge of a rescued heart is active compassion toward the vulnerable.
>> The clearest gauge of a doomed heart is passive callousness toward the vulnerable.
>> How do I love who the world ignores?
Be aware of your callouses.
Learn to see others through Jesus’ eyes.
You learn to see Jesus in other’s eyes.
