While we don't always choose our circumstances, we do have the ability to choose our responses. But the response that has the potential to reverse the natural course of things isn't natural at all.
Pain without gain is a shame.
How can we be better for it?

It would be tragic to forget the lessons that we’ve learned and it would certainly be tragic to lose the perspective that so many of us have gained.
Simply wanting or intending to be better for this means that nothing may happen as a result.
For there to be actual change, you have to engage with the question.

A faith-filled response has the power to redeem pain and suffering.
