CONNECT WITH US
Whether you are NEW online or visiting one of our campuses, we would love to get a chance to know you.
http://linktr.ee/cckcConversation Starters help us dig deeper, connecting Sunday’s sermons with our Monday lives. These prompts have been designed to help Community Groups grow in their relationship with God, with one another, and with their neighbors. Please know that these questions are meant to be a resource to you. You do not have to follow them verbatim or get through them all. We trust you to know your group and to ask the questions based on your group needs.
1) How did this parable come alive for you in a new way after listening to the sermon?
2) Luke 10:29 shows that the lawyer was looking for an answer to his question that confirmed his existing convictions. What are some ways we do this today? How can we avoid seeking to justify ourselves and instead seek to let scripture confront us?
3) Read Luke 10:34. What are some practical ways we can care for other people, even if it means giving up our own comforts and preferences?
4) Consider the quote by Bryan Loritts “Proximity breeds empathy. Distance breeds suspicion.” Can you think of a time when the closer you got to the situation, your perspective grew and your empathy deepened?
5) Who is one “neighbor” that God may be calling you to show generosity and love toward?
