RESET - WEEK # 1

FROM TIME TO TIME OUR THINGS GET CORRUPTED - THEY ARE SO GUNKED UP THEY NO LONGER FUNCTION THE WAY THEY WERE INTENDED TOO.

DO YOU KNOW THE SAME THING HAPPENS WITH US….

THERE ARE TIMES WE ARE SO PLUGGED INTO THE GUNK THAT IS AROUND US THAT GOD NEEDS TO UNPLUG US AND RESET OUR HEARTS AND OUR MINDS TO BRING US BACK TO WHERE HE WANTS US.

THIS ENTIRE MONTH WE WILL BE LOOKING AT HOW GOD RESETS OUR RELATIONSHIPS WITH HIM, WITH OTHERS AND EVEN OUT PURPOSE -

TODAY - WE START WITH GOD -

HAVE YOU EVER NOTICED HOW OUR LIFE CIRCUMSTANCES CAN WARP OUR VIEW AND UNDERSTANDING FO WHO GOD REALLY IS?

LIFE - DISAPPOINTMENTS - PAIN - EMOTIONS HAVE A WAY OF MESSING WITH WHO WE KNOW GOD TO BE.

LET BE HONEST WITH EACH OTHER -

HAVE YOU EVER FOUND YOURSELF IN A SITUATION WHERE YOU JUST DIDN’T UNDERSTAND WHY GOD ALLOWED THAT THING TO HAPPEN?

WHO REALLY IS THIS GOD THAT WE WORSHIP?

IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHO HE IS HOW CAN YOU HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM?

TODAY WE ARE GOING TO TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO RESET OUR UNDERSTANDING OF WHO GOD IS THROUGH HIS NAMES -

SOMETIMES WE GET SO FOCUSED ON LIFE’S UPS AND DOWNS WE FORGET THE PROMISES THAT GOD GAVE US OF WHO HE IS - WE FORGET WHO HE REALY IS -




1. NAME OF GOD: Elohim
MEANING: The strong, Creator God

Verse: In the beginning God (Elohim) created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God (Elohim) was moving over the surface of the waters. Genesis 1:1,2

2. NAME OF GOD: Elohim Chaseddi
MEANING: The God of My Mercy

Verse: My God (Elohim) in His lovingkindness (Chaseddi) will meet me;
God will let me look triumphantly upon my foes. Psalm 59:10

3. NAME OF GOD: El Elyon
MEANING: The Most High God

Verse: Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God (El Elyon), come out! Come here!” So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire, Daniel 3:26

4. NAME OF GOD: El Emunah
MEANING: The Faithful God

Verse: Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God (El Emunah), keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. Deuteronomy 7:9

5. NAME OF GOD: El Olam
MEANING: Our Everlasting God

Verse: For this God is our God for ever and ever (Elohenu Olam);
he will be our guide even to the end. Psalm 48:14

6. NAME OF GOD: El Rai
MEANING: God That Sees Me

Verse: She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God (El) who sees me (Rai),” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” Genesis 16:13


7. NAME OF GOD: El Sali
MEANING: God, my Rock

Verse: The Lord lives, and blessed be my rock (El Sali); and exalted be God, the rock of my salvation. 2 Samuel 22:47

8. NAME OF GOD: El Shaddai
MEANING: Almighty God

Verse: When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty (El Shaddai); walk before me faithfully and be blameless. Then I will make my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers.” Genesis 17:1,2


9. NAME OF GOD: El Simchath Gili
MEANING: God My Exceeding Joy

Verse: Then I will go to the altar of God, 
to God, my joy and my delight (El Simchath Gili). 
I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God. Psalm 43:4

10. NAME OF GOD: Elohe Tishuathi
MEANING: God of My Salvation

Verse: Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
you who are God my Savior (Elohe Tishuathi),
 and my tongue will sing of your righteousness. Psalm 51:14

11. NAME OF GOD: El Tsadeki
MEANING: God of My Righteousness

Verse: Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God (Elohe Tsadeki).
 Give me relief from my distress; 
have mercy on me and hear my prayer. Psalm 4:1

12. NAME OF GOD: Jehovah Goelekh
MEANING: The LORD Thy Redeemer

Verse: You will drink the milk of nations
and be nursed at royal breasts. 
Then you will know that I, the Lord (Jehovah), am your Savior,
your Redeemer (Goelekh), the Mighty One of Jacob. Isaiah 60:16


13. NAME OF GOD: Jehovah El Emeth
MEANING: LORD God of Truth

Verse: Into Your hand I commit my spirit;
 You have ransomed me, O Lord (Jehovah), God (El) of truth (Emeth). Psalm 31:5

14. NAME OF GOD: Elohei Mikkarov
MEANING: God who is near

Verse: Am I a God (Elohei) who is near (Mikkarov), declares the Lord, and not a God far off? Jeremiah 23:23

15. NAME OF GOD: Jehovah Immeka
MEANING: The LORD Is with You

Verse: When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord (Jehovah) is with you (Immeka), mighty warrior.” Judges 6:12


16. NAME OF GOD: Jehovah Jireh
MEANING: The LORD Will Provide

Verse: So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide (Jehovah Jireh). And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.” Genesis 22:14

17. NAME OF GOD: Jehovah Machsi
MEANING: The LORD my Refuge

Verse: If you say, “The Lord (Jehovah) is my refuge (Machsi),” and you make the Most High your dwelling, Psalm 91:9

18. NAME OF GOD: Jehovah Magen
MEANING: The LORD my Shield

Verse: Blessed are you, Israel! 
Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord (Jehovah)? 
He is your shield (Magen) and helper
and your glorious sword. 
Your enemies will cower before you,
 and you will tread on their heights.” Deuteronomy 33:29

19. NAME OF GOD: Jehovah Mephalti
MEANING: The LORD my Deliverer

Verse: The Lord (Jehovah) is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer (Mephalti); 
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, 
my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2

20. NAME OF GOD: Jehovah Mekaddishkem
MEANING: The LORD that Sanctifies You

Verse: Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the Lord (Jehovah), who makes you holy (Mekaddishkem). Exodus 31:13

21. NAME OF GOD: Jehovah Ori
MEANING: The LORD My Light

Verse: The Lord (Jehovah) is my light (Ori) and my salvation—whom shall I fear? 
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

22. NAME OF GOD: Jehovah Rophe
MEANING: The LORD (our) Healer

Verse: He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord (Jehovah), who heals (Rophe) you.” Exodus 15:26

23. NAME OF GOD: Jehovah Roi
MEANING: The LORD My Shepherd

Verse: The Lord (Jehovah) is my shepherd (Roi), I lack nothing. Psalm 23:1

24. NAME OF GOD: Jehovah Shalom
MEANING: The LORD (our) Peace

Verse: So Gideon built an altar to the Lord there and called it The Lord Is Peace (Jehovah Shalom). To this day it stands in Ophrah of the Abiezrites. Judges 6:24


25. NAME OF GOD: ABBA
MEANING: Father God (Daddy)

Galatians 4:6-7

6 And because we[a] are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.”[b] 7 Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child.[c] And since you are his child, God has made you his heir.

HIS HEART IS TO KNOW YOU AND TO BE KNOW BY YOU - AGAIN.
