January Mission Focus: PACN
It's that time again - time to hit the bottle! (The PACN baby bottle, that is.) January is Sanctity of Human Life Month and Creekside is filling baby bottles with money to support Pregnancy Assistance Center North, a long-time ministry partner of ours. Grab a bottle at the Welcome Center, fill it up with cash or change and bring it back on the last Sunday of January.
Communion
Creekside Bible Church invites all believers to partake in the Lord's Supper. Our communion bread is gluten free and safe for those with gluten allergies. (At Creekside, we celebrate Communion each month, usually on the first or second Sunday.)
This morning we continue our sermon series, "The 5 W's of the Church". We will spend the next few weeks looking at the who/whose, what, when, where and why of the church. Yes, we'll also throw in 'how'. God is giving us a fresh vision of who we are and why we are here at Creekside Bible Church. These coming weeks we will return to some crucial and foundational truths about the church. This morning we will begin with the most important question. Last week we asked "Whose is the church? To whom does the church belong?" We know that the church belongs to Jesus Christ, because He purchased it with His own blood (Acts 20:28). This morning we ask again, what is Jesus doing with His church and how is He doing it?
Building Update
Thanks to generous end-of-year gifts and sacrificial labor on the part of a number of Creekside members, the building interior continues to transform from week to week. This week, you'll notice that the bathroom walls are painted! (And if you missed the last week or two, the hallways and sanctuary are painted now as well!) In the coming weeks, expect to see more improvements in the bathrooms, and some trim in various places. Eventually we'll get to the carpet for the sanctuary and children's rooms; all in God's timing.
