A Wonderful Counselor

A Wonderful Counselor

God’s wisdom is better than any other source of wisdom. He gives wisdom through the scriptures, through others, and even through the world at different times and places. When we ask him for wisdom, he is gracious and generous to give it to us.

Humor helps us put our lives in perspective. We may not know what’s coming when a joke starts—but the Punchline brings it all into focus. It’s the same way with our lives. Let’s learn how our setbacks are really setups for what God has in store for us.

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Romans 12:2 NIV
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

“That thing from your past? God didn’t cause it, but God will use it.”
-Michael Jr.

Give Online

The word "tithe" literally means tenth or 10%. Tithing, or giving ten percent of your income, isn't merely giving something to God. It's giving back what was his to begin with. All that we have, or hope to have, comes from him. The Bible says that we worship God with tithing as a reminder that God is the supplier of everything. It teaches us to always put God first in our lives.

Prayer Request?

We believe that Prayer is powerful and can change the world – not just for today but for generations to come. We believe that lives and whole communities are changed forever when we lift up our needs to God in prayer. Please let us know if there is something you would like us to pray for.  (Please specify if this is a private request so it is not distributed on our church-wide e-prayer newsletter)<br>
