Isaiah 28:16b says: “Whoever believes will not be in haste”.
Or the language I learned is: “Don’t rush to failure.”
Bottom line: It pays to listen to God’s Word and especially we need to train our hearing to listen to the God of the Word.

SHIPWRECK
Four Lessons
1. Storms often come when we disobey God.
2. Storms have a way of revealing character.
3. Even the worst storms cannot hide the face of God or hinder His purposes.
4. Storms give us opportunities to serve others and bear witness to Jesus Christ.

The Disciples had Fear-Based Words
More of an accusation than a plea for help.
Don’t you Care??
Hey—You!
Grab a bucket & start bailing!

Verses of Hope
No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame. (Psalm 25:3)
You are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. (Psalm 25:5)
May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you. (Psalm 33:22)
Why are you downcast, o my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. (Psalm 42:5)
Find rest, o my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. (Psalm 62:5)
You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness, O God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas. (Psalm 65:5)
But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more. (Psalm 71:14)
I have put my hope in your word. (Psalm 119:74)
Sustain me according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed. (Psalm 119:116)
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. (Romans 15:4)
Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. (2 Corinthians 3:12)
