In this message series we are seeing that Jesus had a message for the seven churches of Asia Minor. Jesus has a message for the church still today. Since we are followers of Christ and make up the church today, Jesus has a message for each of us individually. Let's continue to have listening ears and hearts to what Jesus has to say to us in the fifth church he speaks to: the church in Sardis.

* The job of the church is: EVANGELISM and DISCIPLESHIP
1. WAKE UP - realize you are about to DIE
2. REMEMBER - what you RECEIVED and KEEP IT, and repent
3. STRENGTHEN - what’s still ALIVE
4. OBEY - while there’s still TIME
* The Church at Sardis suffered from DRY ROT and DEADNESS.
As we continue in this series, Revelation Part One: The Church, we will learn that Jesus' messages to His churches in Revelation still ring true today. The best way we can be prepared for what faces us in our tomorrows is by living ready for Jesus' return today. Let's learn to be ever-ready as we "hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
